DM

The decision maker, or DM, is the person who ultimately approves a sale or purchase. This is not necessarily the person who pretends to be calling the shots, which is often a gatekeeper or influencer. The DM is often only one of 11 or more people on the buying committee, so it is important to identify the DM when pitching a solution.
